Growing Great Organization

One of the first phone calls I made when I moved to the South Bay to open my restaurant was to Growing Great.  I wanted children in the community to experience the connection between what they grow in the garden and the dishes I create.  We collaborated and formed the Growing Great Junior Chef program which inspired hundreds of children around nutrition, cooking, gardening and career.

I so enjoyed working with the kids in the garden, designing and developing their dishes and seeing the looks on their faces when they prepared and tasted the dishes they had created for the restaurant. The program touched hundreds of children in the South Bay and is now  expanding through continued partnership with Growing Great with a focus on reaching communities around the world and allowing for creativity and innovation.
